Front page beta... good idea?

Now, this front page beta has been around for quite a while, but it barely every gets updated, it's a great idea in theory, and I love it, but we really need to make it useful, the last added thing was july 29th... yeah.... I think we need to work on this, IDK, but maybe we should the mods add more to it, or, as a better idea, we could elect members, which would get a "rank", who would be able to be actively on the forum, adding topics to the front page.

 

 

Thoughts? I understand this should be in forum suggestions, but I don't think many people read it, so I thought, maybe posting a new topic suggestion would be a decent idea,

I dont know about most people but the threads I go to are based on if they are in the "Recent Topics" or not.

 

About the Front Page, I think it's a really cool idea but it definitely needs more updating on a daily basis

Hasn't it been around a lot longer? It's pretty dead. Dunno why we still have it. Maybe the "linustechtips.com" link should direct to it before the forum itself to get more attention?

I don't want it to direct before, because then myself, and many others would have to do too many clicks, *lazy*, I like the idea, people can quickly check in on "hot" topics at first, without having to look all around the forum.

Well, if you can get a quick look at the (UPDATED) news then it would have some use before you go to the forum. Sorta like a daily newspaper of what's gone on while you were off.

Update it like a news website every day, then make it so LTT.com directly links to it, or get rid of it is my honest opinion.

I'm pretty sure they are waiting IPB4 before adding any features on it. And since it has only one non-paid developer, its isn't so important project.
