Sony Vegas Alternative

So I'm trying to learn video editing But all the good software's are paid versions and I don't want to pirate them ( I don't Pirate) What are my free options like Sony vegas alternatives ?

What are you trying to edit/what are you doing? Are you trying to learn the very basics, or do you want to learn more advanced topics? Free software might not get what you want done, depending on what you are doing.

if you're a student and are on a MAC trying autodesk Smoke, or adobe premiere trial. those are the video editing software you should really consider because switching between different ones can be very unrewarding.

If you only want to cut and reencode, https://handbrake.fr is good enough.

Lightworks has a free & paid version of their NLE. I highly recommend it as it was used in some Hollywood movies.

Its a 30 Days Trial on Premier Pro CC Try it and then maybe buy it if you likes it, not as expensive as Sony Vegas too if im right
