I am thinking of replaceing my current GPU. The one I am looking for is

SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X R9 290 4GB GDDR5 TRI-X OC.

My current PC specs are:

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD5

CPU: AMD Phenom  II X6 1090T 3200Mhz

RAM: 6GB 1600Mhz

GPU: Sapphire Vapor-X HD5870 1GB OC

HDD 1TB WD 7200rpm

PSU: 1000W Chieftec

Also I am thinking of replaceing RAM with Corsair Vengeance® Series — 16GB (4 x 4) DDR3 1866Hz CL9 Memory Kit

So if I buy the beast R9 290 and replace the RAM  will I be able  to run games in ultra settings and quad HD

will my CPU and RAM be enough or is there a bottleneck.

Know your definitions, Quad HD is QHD: a resolution of 2560 by 1440.

No need to be so condescending -,-. I'm not required to know every single definition off the top of my head.

1440p

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

Arguing with religious people is like explaining to your mother that online games can't be paused...

Not condescending at all, was just pointing out what it meant.

or should've I used more emoticons?

Know your definitions ;)  :D  ;)  :D

Bluntly saying "Know your definitions" cannot really be received another way.

Back on topic. A single R9 290 will not run 60 fps on everything on QHD though. Some of the more demanding titles need to be tuned down a bit.

So I need to change the current CPU and motherboard. What would You reccomend?

Your CPU is not that bad it would bottleneck though, an upgrade to something more current would make a difference - All begins with your budget and location :)

The most common result of insufficient wattage is a paperweight that looks like a PC

My location is Estonia and my budget is about 1000 € that includes GPU and RAM.

Make another thread and include your budget, location, where you buying from etc.
