so im kinda thinking that since case manufacturers insist on giving us 3 or 4 5.25" bays which are almost never removable it would be swell for them to offer a sort of sled adapter so that i could use one of those slots for my hdd which would be sweet cause i could remove all of the hdd disk bays instead of keeping a whole bay just for 1 hdd. wouldnt that be swell

corsair 600t, msi z87-g45, intel 4770k, 16g patriot viper low-pro ram, asus direct cu2 780, crucial 256gig ssd, seagate baracuda 1tb,

They do, there are even some that allow you to insert like 4 - 6 2.5 or 3.5" hard drives across multiple bays

Also adapters to 3.25" bays for card readers

There are all sorts of thing you can do with the front bays

Example:

My case has only 5.25'' slots. 4 of them have openings for bays. You can buy 1 to 1 coverter or 2 to 3 converters. Or hotswap converters. Or HDD cooling boxes. Browse around in Silverstone's site for example.

There are quite a few 3 to 4 converters, maybe even 3 to 5 3.5/2.5" converters.

If you have some old CD-Rom or DVD-Rom drives around and you don't mid taking them apart, I usually toss the internals and only keep the external shell, then I make the holes to mount and HDD on it and the adapter is done.

yeah but tat would still be sticking out of the front of my case. the whole point is to use the space without having to have stuff messing up the face of my tower. thats why i didnt put a disk drive in the first place

No, because the front bezel is missing so it will stay behind the slot covers, no need to take them out. Still my method is just a ghetto method. If you buy them they will look nicer ;)
