Hey.

Most of you guys have probably already seen this but this benchmarking tool is pretty funky.

It's called CatZilla and it's pretty self explanatory. You can pick it up here http://www.allbenchmark.com/

It offers something "interesting" you could say when you watch it in comparison to the 3DMark software.

Anyway use it or don't use it, none of by bussiness.

but if you do use it post your "cat" score ;)

My cat score is: 10750

if you'd like post some other quirky benchmarking tools because, why not?

Serious wtf moment here, i got better results at higher resolutions.

I really don't trust this, i have a XFX 7850 2gb @ 1ghz/1300MHz + 3570k @ 4.2GHz wouldn't run any higher than 720p even though I have a 1080p screen (tiger was greyed out) and the actual FPS in it at 720p was lower than other benchmarks that ran much better at 1080p (unigen). From what I have seen it seems to favour nvidia a lot. And obviously the inconsistent results I just had.

Other things i noticed in the video, cat uses 2xMSAA, except the actual quality was worse than games I have run that had no AA at all.

I just now saw this being used to benchmark Ares 2. I run it tommorrow with fresh boot. I'm not waiting for any really high scores since my 560Ti is already 1,5 years old and running stock clocks. But gotta say that Catzilla test was really fun to watch.

whenever I try to run the benchmark it stops working and the windows troubleshooter comes up. I've tried installing/running in compatibiltiy mode and as administrator.

x64 windows 8. According to the website it supports windows 8 so I don't know why. :( Sorry I can't put up any results

Tiger and CatZilla are for paying members only (4 USD to be able to use Tiger, what I think is quite cheap). As for the scores, have you tried re-running it?

I don't like this benchmark. Look what it recommends me to get:

HJLyWgA.png

And apparently getting a 6950 will get me more points than getting a 690. Even though I have a 7950.

The Tiger and CatZilla benchmarks were open to everyone earlier on, hence being quite annoyed, as for the results i was disappointed enough not to even bother, with nvidia cards being favoured so much in this I i don't see the advantage

Only reason why you're saying that now is because its new. In a year this will be so boring no-one will use it. :(

Theres only so many times you can watch the same clip.
