My Take on the Dominator Platinum Light Bar Upgrade Kit

You silly young wipper snappers with your bling. :P

I prefer a more stealthyish look with no windows so no uber bling ram for me and find the Platinum Dominators to be bad price/performance value, but they do look nice.

I do take offense at this condescending term, I ain't a 'young wipper snapper', I am hitting 50 next year so I dare say I'm older than you....by quite a few years. Having bling doesn't equate to being young, silly, or just paying premium prices just for the heck of it. For me, I've never had issue with Corsair RAM, I can afford it, it was mostly black in color which suited my build. I went from bling for my initial first few builds, then chose one that totally lacked bling - Soldam XR-1 Black Knight - very industrial like, simple looking case that did not allow for bling. Used that for a number of years before retiring it a couple of years back since building my i7 rig.

Tastes do change, and if you have been building rigs for years, you'd find that sometimes, you're in the mood for bling.....sometimes, you're not. Nothing wrong with having bling,.....I simply don't wished to be judged or patronized by someone who's less than half my age.

Hmm, the kits are cheaper than I expected at 20$. But still I feel the Dominators are too expensive... and why could't they have included the colored bars in the first place? Hardware DLC :P

But the pictures are very nicely taken ^^

Well avexir has a 2x4gb kit of ram for $2000 if you think platinum's are too expensive :P

I call one of my friends who is literally only 2 years older than I am an "old man" so that comment was only in jest and not meant to be taken seriously.
