How do you think this would work:

Triangle, bottom flat on ground, fans across bottom pointed up.

Mother board in area 51 layout. PSU in front, along with a fan pointed at CPU heatsink.

Whole thing made of wood, mirroed glass side panels. Back io area open mesh.

So something like this?

Not a bad idea, the glass would be interesting, and the wood would certainly make it stand out a bit more, as if the glass and shape wouldn't already.

It's hard to tell what's going on without visuals.

The flash point for wood is 300c. The system would shut down quite a while before that happens.

Good point, wood and electronics would be hard to put together to look good though

Kinds like the above. Can't really do anything, my GPU is on RMA, stuck on mobile and iMac g4

One more thing, any problems with tower heatsink and GPU being at wired angle?

Not true, a nicely stained wood chassis looks great in the rights setting.

It would work, but look a little bit strange given the shape of the case.

I'm all for it though, I'd love to see how it would turn out.

Right, my desk looks good with my computer

Yeah, some space might be wasted. But looks cool. My build log will have it, but I have to see if I can convince my parents to let me build a case (didn't like the pc in desk idea, fire hazard, ect)

PCs in general are a fire hazard to begin with? xD

Just make sure you get all the dimensions down on paper before you start cutting.

Well they said the wood could catch fire if the parts did. But not really. When parts burst in to flame, they are not like on fire. It would be like trying to light a board with only flint and steel.

Ill try to convince them.

Then mirrored glass sides, and i could get thoes cool zinc keycaps for my k70.

You can always treat the wood with flame retardant.

yeah, i proposed that idea during the desk thing. I think i can convince them.

I cant find a good motherboard tray to buy tho. I need one that just has the motherboard tray and PCI slots, IO optional, and metal. All ive seen blocks airflow a ton.
