Help me build a pc for photoshop and rendering

nick99n

Hello to everyone

im planning on upgrading soon and i want your opinion on how to improve my pc for 3ds max and mainly photoshop and after effects

here are my specs

a10 6800k cpu

msi a85xa-g65 mobo

2x4 gb sticks memory

corsair tx 850

7850 1gb gpu

and a crappy cooler master 430

i was thinking of a xaf xb evo so i can leave the non-modular psu to the bottom and have good airflow and a xeon with a motherboard but i want your opinion too maybe an fx 8350 ? max budget 400 euro

Get the FX-8320, more expensive but much better for rendering than them APU

My current rig for entertainment/gaming: i5 4570 3,2GHz; MSI B85M-E45; ZOTAC GTX760 AMP!; 8GB (2x4GB) by Kingston; Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200rpm; Corsair 200R, Corsair VS650; Dell U2312HM, Samsung DVD R/W optical drive; CM Devastator; Corsair MM400 gaming pad

Dont go with amd for after effects and photoshop. better go with NVIDIA. search something in your range and with as much cuda cores as possible. that will boost your rendering time heavily!

That's what i would write :D

The xeon would be ~260e along with a new cheap motherboard ~80e and maybe another set of 8gb ram.

It would be better that the 8320.

cost 70€ more and has 800 points more on passmark. i think it wont fit into the 400€ build.

1. The V2 needs LGA1155, not 1150 cause it's Ivy, so you are going backward to look for some old mobo

2. If OP can afford the Xeon 1231V3 + somewhat cheap B85 mobo then it's great because of Hyperthreading

and nobody commented on the case yet you think i should not change it ?

Case is the least thing to bother when building a budget build

btw 8350 cost 160 euros and xoen costs 250 euros in my country

if you can't go for about 510 euros on a build I suggest staying with the FX-8320, no 8350 cause it's an OC version of it and doesn't worth the extra money

If you want to save money, get the 8320.If you want more performance, get the xeon but the 1230 V3,not v2.

Up to you.
