So my S2 battery battery is only lasting around an hour. And I just dropped it today shattering the screen. So I guess its time to look at getting a new phone. I only have about 4 months left to pay off the phone, and 6 months left of my contract. Im currently through Bell, but have no problems switching providers. I do live in Canada. So phone prices might need to be adjusted.

Im looking for a fairly cheap phone. I cant really pay much more that 300$. Music, texting and internet browsing, in that order, are the things I do most on my phone. Battery life is important for me. I need to get 4 hours of heavy use (Music + texting + browsing) with some stand by time in between. I prefer the larger 5-5.5 inch phones, but Im not super picky on the size.

So far the Moto G seems like a good choice, but I need more storage for my music library. I would want at least 32gb of internal storage (or a micro SD slot).

The OnePlus One also seems like a good choice. But it would be closer to 400$, a bit above my budget. The Nexus 5 is a similar story. Just a little out of the price range.

The last option is to resign a contract. But that would place me in a 85$/mo plan. And I would prefer to spend closer to 45$/mo. But that would open up the option of the HTC M8.

Thoughts?

Moto G with a micro sd. This phone in my experience is just as good as an s4 if not better and I bought it from boost no contract for 100 dollars. 40 a month for unlimited everything (limited 3g data cap turns to 2g) unless you are a power user, which you are not if you are rocking a s2 just save a ton of money and get the moto G. The new refresh fixed my only issues with the phone. Front facing speakers and slightly larger screen and better cameras. Also latest android software.
