Light Thin laptop?

Hey I'm looking for a new laptop for general web browsing and work. I was looking at the Acer Aspire s7:http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/series/aspires7

because of it's really light and thin form factor.

 

Are there any other laptops as thin and light as this without costing so much?

 

Budget: <$1000

 

Some key points in a laptop I'm looking for:

 

Battery: 5+ hours 

 

Screen: 1920x1080

 

Keyboard: preferably backlit but not a deal breaker.

 

OS: Windows 7 or 8/8.1 

 

CPU: i5 minimum.

 

RAM: 8GB minimum

if you could shell out a few more bucks you could get a rMBP, incredible machine :D

 

but then again, osx :S

I agree, you could always put windows on it
