hello i have a y510p that has an i7 4700mq which is great and a nvidia geforce 755m which is decent but i can get dual graphics where i can swap out my dvd drive for dual 755m with the flick of a switch but the second 755m costs $250 is it worth it?

the mq and hg is the same hq just means it is saudered to the mobo mq is not

if you aint got much cash and need!!! to have a laptop then yes but otherwise just save sell and buil a desktop

There is also Lenovo Y50 with GTX860m for similar price if you want to go without SLI.

I'm not, I'm simply saying that spending $250 on a terrible laptop GPU for minimal performance boost isn't worth the money, and it makes more sense to save that $250 and build a desktop for gaming and save his laptop for on the go.

I personally own the Y510P and my friend owns the Y510P with the dual graphics, and trust me, it is not a minimal performance boost on supported games. $250 is a bit high though

yeah i like the y510p its a good lapto except the issue where the graphics doesnt work on battery

The other issue is that if the one he has has a 765m and the card he can buy to add in is a 755m, wouldn't that be impossible, or at least very janky?
