So there is is a possibility that I will be able to build a PC for $500 on my birthday (September 14) and need some suggestions..

Budget: $500

Location: Canada

Peripherals: I don't need any peripherals since I have them all already.

Case: Prodigy or Prodigy M

I will be using it for mainly Gaming and some video editing/recording/rendering.

I would like it to be as quiet as possible.

The colours should preferably be blue/white/black.

I think I got everything, thanks a lot guys.

EDIT: I will be playing at 1080p on one monitor

EDIT2: No OS needed.

Why would you go with a 7870? Why not go with a R7 instead?

It uses the same architecture, but AMD did still made modifications didn't they?

Yes. An R7 would be a better choice.

Sorry I couldnt do better because that case you want is limiting me on cheaper motherboard and case it self is quite expensive for this budget. You could throw pentium instead in it and fit budget but i3 is far better overall.

he said he wanted a build, a cpu is in a build

well, he can have a 4-way SLI Titan build but with out a OS he's stuck in the BIOS..

i ALWAYS include a OS, if they dont need it they dont have to buy it. I do this because one person (computer noob) got his $450 pc build, he was happy, when he tried to boot it up, obviously, he had no OS. he knew he needed one when he was planning it out, it just slipped his mind when he ordered everything.

My dad works for a company that partners with microsoft so I get a lot of keys for things for free

Yeah, I might have to change the case.

thank you for clarifying.

I too work for a IT guy, and i have access to his unlimited Win7 key :)
