Steelseries wireless H and PS3

Hello,

 

I currently have my steel series wireless H connected to my PC via usb. I'd like to know if I can connect a ps3 to the wireless H receiver via optical cable and still be able to use voice chat on the ps3, or do I need to connect via usb  to get the voice chat for a game like destiny?

I have a 2019 macbook pro with 64gb of ram and my gaming pc has been in the closet since 2018
