Join up. They'd stick me in an artillery division anyway. So i'd be raining 155mm shells on people from miiiles away

I'm curious why you are so confident you would end up in artillery.

Since our fair prime minister is sending troops back to Iraq, I wouldn't be too fussed Australia tends to be America's lap dog in most military things these days.

I'd most likly do mapping since that is sorta my background anyways

I've been through basic training. Joined the artillery division. So i just figured they'd stick me with something im already trained in

(I've taken a course in tank driving too.. But being stuck in a big metal box during a firefight isn't really my thing. I'd rather be 13 miles away)

depends on what the fight is. If it's against CRABPEOPLE...sure. But there are no nazi threat anymore and every war is pretty much have some base of religion involved so nope. I'll flee and go play army on my pc only.

I'd go, if the cause matched my ideals even better. 

 

If not then I'd do my best to make sure the guys around me made it out alive, even if I don't agree with the reason for the war.

Just make sure the shells are falling on the bad guys not your guys in metal boxes

At the limit it's about +/- 20m on target (Not bad for 13 miles though) No guarantees if the guy giving coordinates is in a hurry with the firing orders

With a good spotter and around 10 miles i could probably take the computer off your desk with a shell (+ most of your house.. But we'll gloss over that)
