What was the specs of your first rig ever.

soulreaper

I had a 386 first but I was only about 5 years old when I had it I remember that the monitor had orange text and it had a 5 1/4 floppy drive. I think the game I had was some football game. But yeah I didn't know how to use it nor did my family. It was given to me by a neighbor who was a tech geek. I wish I still had it because I could use it these days. But I don't think this really counts because it just sat around and collected dust.

The first real computer my family had that was used all the time was a Packard Bell

  • 75 Mhz Pentium
  • 4 MB of RAM
  • 100 MB Hard drive
  • Some intergrated video card I think it was a Cirrus or something like that
  • Sound Blaster 16
  • I think it was a 56k modem
  • A CD-ROM
  • 3.5 Floppy
  • 14" crt monitor that the speakers bolted to the side
  • Windows 3.1

Dell Dimension 3000.

Intel Celeron at 2.6GHz(I think) with 512MB of RAM with an IDE hard drive. It had a DVD and CD drive. And it had a 15" CRT monitor at whatever resolution. Ran Windows XP.
