Hey guys,

I need a new pc,

1. Budget & Location

my budget is 5000$ MAX. I live in the netherlands and I'd like a pcpartpicker.com link :)

2. Aim

Mainly Gaming, video editing and some basic school stuff.

3. Monitors

I'd like to be able to game on a 1440p monitor. 1 or 2, depends on the price of the components and what you guys recommand me. I prefer 1

4. Peripherals

Mice Keyboard Headset and 1440p Monitor needs to be in the build link.

5. Why are you upgrading?

I've got an old shitty laptop

Hope you guys can help me!

Thanks.

You can have an x99 8 core/295x2 4k gaming rig with that budget.

Do not  as I  do, and  not  as I say. Instead do as you may..

Here. 5000$ is way overkill for what you need, in fact this system includes quite a bit of snake oil too but I tried to stick to stuff that actually makes sense. For example, getting 290xs over 290s wouldn't be worth the extra money, and getting 3 cards isn't worth it either. I slapped in a huge ssd so that you can have your steam library on it, but I didn't go full out for a pcie one because you wouldn't notice the difference. I added a 2tb hdd because those videos take space ^^

That case is not necessary by any means, but it's great and you'll never regret it or want more, I can guarantee that. The cpu cooler is one of the best performing aios on the market, so you can get that overclock going without worrying about heat. The i7 is the most expensive cpu that makes any sense for gaming, going higher would mean spending more to get minimal increases in performance. However, if you do a LOT of video editing maybe you should consider a 4930k and an x79 motherboard (don't go x99, ddr4 is too expensive).

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

I do it, because the thread keep dying....

Threads are supposed to die after a couple replies...

Do you expect hundreds of thousands of threads to get replies every day?

You get 5 or 10 people show you the builds, and that's it, you buy whatever you think is best. You don't keep making a thread over and over just to get more of the same builds.

I do it, because the thread keep dying....

If you want to keep the thread going then you have to provide some feed back on what you like or don't like, questions, etc.

So two possible builds.

Nice but not over-the-top.

http://pcpartpicker.com/user/DonDoko/saved/#view=9GfG3C

if you really want the extra performance, go for ddr4 and a 5820k.

I'm saving up money for this build^^

Oh and this build is alo 4K ready or a triple 1080/1440p monitor ready, it has 3 gtx 980's..
