Windows 7 blackscreen during boot

So, I have Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 32-bit on my netbook, and sometimes after the loading screen (the little bar going across) it will sit at a black screen doing nothing for 10-20 seconds, before it goes to the black screen with the cursor as it gets ready to log in. Someone is probably going "BOOT TIMEZ DONT MATER YOU TWAT!!!" For me they do. I have to turn my netbook on every morning, and sometimes I need it to be right ready to go. So if you could help me with this, that would be great.

I have a 120GB Samsung 840 EVO installed and this is a fresh install (less than 3 hours old).

Then I think there is a defect in the laptop I would contact the laptop manufacturer.

It's been working flawlessly for 5 or 6 years as my daily driver. And when it still had the hard drive, I don't recall this ever happening. SSD still checks out 100% OK with less than 1TB of writes to it more than likely.

i dont think its the drive, sounds like Windows is the problem.....hanging at start up for some reason

Do you have another drive to test to see if it's your drive.

Check your windows startup programs.drivers that you have starting when the PC boots. Try disabling all of them and see if it still happens.

No but every other computer says that it's in perfect shape, so I know it's not the problem.

It's hard to pinpoint things like that. When I had a network drive disconnected but still shown in my computer it would just sit there for a good minute at a black screen after the windows logo went away. Removed it and it fixed my bootup delay. However, I'm not exactly sure what's going on with yours. I'd just close the lid so it goes to sleep. I rarely ever shutdown my laptop when I used it.

When I had a network drive disconnected but still shown in my computer it would just sit there for a good minute at a black screen after the windows logo went away. Removed it and it fixed my bootup delay. However, I'm not exactly sure what's going on with yours. I'd just close the lid so it goes to sleep. I rarely ever shutdown my laptop when I used it.

Power in my area is really unpredictable, so I try to take as many precautions as I can to make sure everything is off the grid at night.
