The XFX 650 pro is much better than the 600B lol. It's hilarious how people have brand preference over PSU's without even knowing the OEM. If you want a upgrade get a EVGA B2 or G2.

Are you guys serious? Just because you fanboy over EVGA's GPUs doesn't mean that their PSUs are automatically the best things on the planet.

Pro series, easily

600B is HEC OEM, an XFX PSU will slaughter that in reliability and performance.

12/8/2014 I asked the same question and you replied the same answer :D I read about XFX and as you said they are really good but that Noise thing you can't imagine how much annoying it is -_-

If you could can you recommend a Good PSU other than XFX

Is it your unit? The reviews I saw mentioned nothing about noise, one saying it was actually pretty quiet.

EVGA

The XFX is in every way superior to the EVGA except maybe pricing.

Explain, i would like to know why you make that claim

The better unit is the XFX one. The better company is EVGA.

So long as you don't buy a lemon, you should be better off with the XFX unit. Though most retailers I've dealt with have a brief period where they will replace a lemon themselves.

XFX is better and I know that what about EVGA is it still good or what !?

I think it might be because of the test environment but under load ( room temp about 26 ) the PSU is noisy as hell

He can make that claim because the manufacturers aren't even in the same class.

Well, it's not bad.

Here's one review that mentions the noise. http://www.hardocp.com/article/2013/03/27/xfx_proseries_650w_power_supply_review/9#.VAEn6mP8QcF

They frequently do PSU reviews, so I wouldn't expect that to be a fluke. It was seen to be generally quiet.

In a situation where it's ramping up from power usage, it really shouldn't be the noisiest component in your system either way.

Additionally, if you already have the unit, why not just swap the fan instead of buying another?

Then change your PSU?

I don't know what else to tell you

I was intending to change it anyway for that noise issue then this came up so nothing changed

aside from that if I did change the fan won't the PSU Temp increase !?

Basically, neither EVGA or XFX make their own PSUs, they buy OEM units from bigger guys.

On the high end units, EVGA purchases from SuperFlower, while XFX buys Seasonic units. On the lower end, it's a different story, EVGA B series are HEC psu (other HEC PSUs are used in brands like RaidMax), while the XFX Pro Series Bronze is a Seasonic model. No match there...

If you have a defective unit, that is very noisy, you can RMA it. If it just bothers you a bit because you got a fan on the louder side, see if it's getting enough fresh air, you can replace the fan with a bit of modding but it will void your warranty.

That's my problem I don't know if my fan is louder than it should be or not :3 but on opening AC it's totally quiet so I guess that the normal :3

Explain, i would like to know why you make that claim

The EVGA 600B is an entry-level power supply from HEC (Cougar PowerX), whereas the XFX ProSeries 650w (the bronze version) is a mainstream unit that is made by Seasonic based on the SS-***AT/AM platform. The 600B not only offer less usable power than the XFX, it uses lower quality components than it (usage of 85C CapXon primary and 105C Teapo, as opposed to full Japanese 105C caps on the XFX. Also sleeved bearing vs 2BB fan on the XFX). The XFX also will offer better ripple suppression, as well as better voltage stability at a wider range of loads due it usage of a DC-DC VRM in the secondary.

The XFX Core Edition 450/550w may be a more appropriate comparison due to its double-forward topology, group-regulated scheme, and it being bronze, but even then, the XFX would offer better internal components and electrical performance.

On top of that, the XFX has a 5 year warranty, as opposed to three on the EVGA.
