[Build Log]-*Name Unknown*

santa claus

This is my first really hardcore custom build. Ive done builds before but this is my first time sleeving, first time watercooling, first time SLI, first time case modding...I am very happy with what is turning out to be. Once I get on water, I'm going to overclock my CPU, and try to push my videocards a little farther(right now they are at 1201Mhz, 3500Mhz). What I still need to do is get the rest of the watercooling stuff, and finish the floor of my case. and get a name for it. I will add more lighting at the end ot it all as needed.

Hardware:(all of this I already have and it is up and running)

Case: Corsair Carbide 540 Air

Mobo: Asus Maximus VI Formula

Processor: Intel i5 4670k

Video card: 1-Zotac GTX 680

                   2-Gigabyte windforce GTX 680

RAM: 16GB Corsair Dominator GT 2000Mhz cl 9

Powersupply: Corsair AX750

SDD: (currently) Crucial m500 240GB

Liquid cooling stuff:(I still need some of this)

XSPC EX240, EX360 radiators(Have)

XSPC Raystorm block(Have)

XSPC Razor blocks

Bitspower 150 tube res(Have)

Primochill hard tubing

Primochill revolver fittings

Alphacool d5 pump

Noiseblocker eloop fans for the radiators(have)

Here is a little bit of progression of the build(sorry for the crappy picture quility...right now only have my phone to take pictures)

In the pictures there are Monsoon fittings, those were what I was going to use originally but then some Primochill revolver fittings and hard tubing came into the store not that long ago and I like the look a lot more!

That is some seriously thick string you used to sew the cables...

It looks better if you use thin thread, then you can barely see it. Like you can barely see it here:

I like the thicker string it is much easier and has seems to guide the wire better then fine thread...I tried to use thread orginally

  • 4 weeks later...

Small late night update, finished my floor and went on and did a full carbon fiber interior, started to bend some tubing, still waitng for GPU blocks, and pump, but thats all.

P.S. The bending is much more difficult then I thought it would be.
