Undervolting the A8-5600k on a GA-F2A55M-DS2 rev. 1.0

Hey guys,

 

Quick question. I've overclocked my A8-5600k to 4GHz (Auto voltage at 1.375V) on a non-overclocking board.

Would it be possible to undervolt the chip?

 

My mobo is the GA-F2A55M-DS2 rev. 1.0 with the F4 BIOS.

There's some advanced voltage options but the settings are confusing... There's Auto, then there's +0.000 and up...

 

I can't afford to fry my PC at this time...

on the a88x-ds2 i got to play round with for a little while there is no undervolting, only auto, normal and ++ as you said.

I'd try it but with my system settings (non-unicode is set to Japanese... I have games that need this...), It's difficult...

 

I'll try lowering it to 1.3V using overdrive later...
