Let's get serious... GTX 800 series.. what's the release date?

kungfury7

There hasn't been any speculation for A LONG TIME.

And in my best joker voice.. Let's put some BROWN on dat FROWN.

You know, sometimes I wonder dat maybe Nvidia is taking a long time because they couldn't come up with a cool naming scheme to match AMD's.

There are at least 5000 800 series threads every 10 seconds just on this forum alone (ok maybe like 2 a day)

I think they should just call them the Nvidian FO SNf[No[asn 200 because reasons

I know bro, but not my flow, keyboard bashers saying go go go

(I have no idea what that was), still there is enough speculation and rumours around the cards, I am happy to wait if it means great things

That said I do not exactly NEED a new GPU

Want my advice? It will be at least two gen before 1440p becomes a general thing in which all GPUs are expected to perform at decent graphics settings. for now stick with 1080p and u can have ll the eye candy you want.

Can't a gtx 760 4gig run 1440? I would think, if the 860 is more powerful, that it would be equally if not more capable of running 1440p

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Dubs are better than subs

Capable.. but at high settings with decent FPS? NO. You want decent performance on 1440p you just have to turn shit down.

I really just want it for mmo's. I run swtor on ultra at 720p (ugh, its so ugly) with no problem at all.

Mannn I envy you. Right now pplz with hi-end 700 series prolly get the best bang for there buck since NVIDIA decides to shit us all with late release, giving it the most longevity.

Sure, if it satisfies you then by all means. But if u switch to 24 inch at 1080p, i'm sure you can run ultra wih better performance.
