Yes you can do this, as long as you have the slots on the motherboard and the SLI bridge (as you tagged SLI and not crossfireX)

yes, sure that is possible. just make sure that all other components are good enough to handle a second gpu. For example psu and motherboard must be compatible for a dual gpu setup.

You can add another graphics card whenever you want, providing your pc can accommodate SLI/Xfire.

Im going to make my own computer soon and I was wondering if you are able to make a computer use it and then after awhile add a second GPU whilst it is shut down then boot up the pc and it will run normally and have no problems?

 

You can change components in a PC whenever you want, ram, graphics card, power supply, ram, SSD, etc etc etc even the CPU
