ROG and Blue don't go well together. "Socket that will last a long time" "6 or more cores". I'm sorry, there's so much contradiction here. But I would say the FX-8350 + an Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0

do you live near a microcenter? if so you could get a 4690k and good z97 board for under $300 :o but for amd you could get a good deal anywhere :P the 8350 will go well with the amd compatible asus board for well under $300

4690K // 212 EVO // Z97-PRO // Vengeance 16GB // GTX 770 GTX 970 // MX100 128GB // Toshiba 1TB // Air 540 // HX650

Logitech G502 RGB // Corsair K65 RGB (MX Red)

I think Microcenter does some good deals if you buy a CPU and a supported motherboard. Don't know the specifics though.

Here is a Great combo its 370$

AMD FX-8350

ASUS Crosshair Formula Z

for 70$ more you can get these both parts and they really are "Show off Worthy" So I would invest in it If I was on a budget
