What is the best linux distro for ancient hardware?

I couldn't find a post like this in the search even though I'm sure I've seen one before. I have a really old desktop that I'd like to get working. What Linux distro would you guys use for like the first pentium ever made?

CPU - Intel Core i7 3770K @ 4.60GHz 1.264v | RAM - Corsair Dominator Platinum 16.0GB (2x8GB) | Motherboard - ASUS P8Z77 WS | Graphics - EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 | Storage -  120 GB Samsung 840 EVO | PSU - Corsair RM650 | Case - Corsair 550D

If it's worked once, it can work again!

So long as there's no broken pieces.

How old? A 1GB P4 system can even run Ubuntu.

For ancient hardware Puppy is the best, but a P4 and 1GB can run Lubuntu ir Zorin Lite like a boss

This is the CPU (not the same as the one someone posted earlier but close)

It's from like '97

Lubuntu or maybe xubuntu. I had it running on a 233 MHz G3, not too long ago. I imagine a pentium's performance per clock at the time wasn't that different. UI performance will still be terrible though, and video playback is probably too much to ask for too.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.
