Sennheiser HD650 or Beyerdynamic DT 990 Premium

These headphones are in my price range and don't know which to choose, i have tried the Beyerdynamic DT 990 Premium and loved it but i saw some reviews about the sennheiser and it looks good too, please help.

edit: Also, i own a audioengine d1 amp/dac, would this be able to drive these headphones?

The D1 can definitely drive both but I'll let someone else advise you on which headphone to buy.

just by looking at the graph you can tell which one to get ^^ not taking price into consideration.

dt 990

Taking the price into consideration - DT990 Pro all the way. Premium is twice the price and doesn't worth it IMO.

Not taking the price into consideration - HD650...the treble is more subtle and the overall sound signature is smoother. There's no peak in the treble like the DT990 have.

You can easily EQ the DT990, though.

Eh, not really. The headphone amp on that isn't very powerful .

uw0t my ears are by no means raped, i use them for hours everyday and they are a pleasure to use, the open back makes for a really nice listening experience, where the bass may be lacking, this is to be expected from full open backs, and regardless i am not a fan of overpowering bass lel

and besides they're not even expensive

+1 to MumboJumbo's post - DT990 PRO if you're into saving money.

Personally couldn't stand the DT990's treble spike, but like he said, that can largely be EQ'd away if you want. Love my HD650, but it is somewhat pricey.
