if we are talking about gpu core, had my r9 290 get to 95 c under furmark, if we are talking about all parts of the gpu, I recently installed an nzxt g10 and saw my vrm get to 112c :/ not doing that again lol.

Did you add heatsinks to the VRMs?  I'm guessing you didn't because people who have added heatsinks are reporting temperatures of 50-70C under load for their 290s.

Check out the Overclocker's.net G10 Owner's Club for assistance.  You need to get some heatsinks on your card ASAP.

My EVGA GTX 780 SC w/ ACX Cooler hit 78C when I left my side panel closed on my old chassis.  To solve that problem, I removed the side panel and temperatures immediately dropped 12C, I never exceeded 66C with the side panel removed.  Before you accuse, I had excellent airflow, its a problem with the ACX Cooler's design where it blows hot air down and around in stead of out the back.  When this happens in a close chassis, that hot air stagnates and increases temperatures of all components including CPU.

I upgraded to a Phanteks Enthoo Pro, and I again experimented with open and closed side panel.  Side panel off = 66C  Side panel on = 74C.  These are still very good temperatures.  The problem I was having is that the ACX Cooler was still blowing hot air directly into my case, and even with excellent airflow, that how air rises.  I have a Cooler Master Seidon 240M, a 240mm AIO.  It was placed on the top of my case like most AIOs and when the hot air from my GPU got into the radiator, the temperature of my CPU would go from 50C to 68C, all because of the ACX Cooler.

I ended up doing the G10 + Kraken X31(2 Fans) + Heat Sink modification to my EVGA 780, and now both my CPU and GPU don't exceed 50C when fans are at 60% speed.  This is not the easiest of modifications, but the results speak for themselves.

Got my r9 280x msi overclocked to 1150 core and 1600 memory without voltage changes. Im waiting for a new case exhaust fan since with Kombustor it hits 88C. After that ill go and fiddle with the voltages.

In gaming it doesnt go over 75C though. Mind you last time i did this it was quite hot, bit over 30C so i must say the msi cooler is pretty decent. Very quiet too, if only their marketing wasnt as loud and obnoxious. I mean hell i almost didnt buy their stuff cause i feel like theyre advertising to idiots. I still dont know whether this vid is a joke or an actual attempt to advertise -.- Im not even sure if its allowed to post stuff like that, it probably shouldnt be.

80°C on my Tri-X 290. And that was at ~45% fan speed.

Usually below 77 though.

My 780Ms cannot pass 92c, they will downclock at that point. Hardware-built-in thermal limit. Still though, nobody would want to pass and stay at temps above 92c, so it isn't bad. I usually get about 78 or so when gaming, depends on the game and if my room is 36 degrees or only 30 degrees.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.
