Hey guys,

I am getting a little bit frustrated over here with my new graphics card. It's a GTX 780 GHZ from Gigabye, and the first week (!) it ran fine, then I got the error 43 in the device manager (the device was stopped because it gave an error or something like that). After simple rebooting it ran fine again, and now, a few days later, I get the same errorcode again. What I tried so far: rebooting (several times), deactivating and reactivating the card via the device manager, reinstalling the driver, using gigabytes driver, using reference driver, re-install the card physically in both the same and a different pcie slot, nothing helped. I did not overclock that card at all, the only thing I did was gaming (what should actually be a perfectly fine thing to do on a graphics card)

my specs are:

i7 4790k @ stock

gigabyte gtx 780 windforce 3x ghz edition

8gb ram

gigabyte ga-z97x-ud3h-bk rev 1.0

thanks,

LoLlYdE

sure? I dont wanna wait so long again..

You can play BF4 on 720p @ low no AA, ~35 FPS on iGPU.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

you mean with the integrated graphics? well, at least something....

Probably flashing the bios will fix it for you, but if you want to keep your warranty RMA it.

well, I dont have the confidence to flash my bios yet, so RMA will be the thing to do for me...thanks

I say wipe your hard drive clean or if you have an extra laying around use that and take the other out and just install drivers for everything that are up to date and see what happens.  If you still have problems then ship off the card.

Did you have an AMD card in the system before you installed this?  Did you remove/clean all driver related stuff for the AMD card?

When you look up information on error 43 it actually says most of the time it is a computer with drivers that have gotten screwed up/messed up but then they acknowledge it could be a hardware problem.  I say do what I mentioned in the first sentence and if it fails then yes RMA it.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

okay, I'll try that out with my backup hard drive, hopefully it works...

And no, this actually is the first graphics card to ever be installed on this system, so that should not be any problem..

where did you find that? I googled the last hour or so on this and found like...nothing
