They're apparently doing it to pay lower taxes. If they merge, they'll be based in Canada where they'll pay less tax than in the US.

Interesting.

 

I'm not a fan of coffee with burgers myself though.

I prefer a nice cool drink of Coke or Lemonade with fastfood.

Because of the Royalty angle. Canada being a commonwealth they buy into all the Royalty crap, so merge with the King of course.

You Canadians have combination KFC/Taco Bells everywhere, how is this any different? You'd prob be stuck with a coffee/burger combo place and that's it.

The Canadian food reviewer I watch has those things everywhere while I've yet to see one of those where I live. :P

i have never heard of it until now, seems the Washington stores locations are in south Washington state, not the Puget sound area. 

we have them all over oregon. little overpriced, and a little too sweet. but super addictive (i dont even like coffee) and delicious.

As long as they don't get rid of the honey cruller, I'll be happy. On a side note, it's a blatant move to reduce taxes because Canada is becoming a corporate tax haven for these American fat cats.

Burger king put me in the hospital and I had to have a procedure; couldn't do anything for 2 weeks.

They didn't cook the burger and it almost killed me. 
 

This is terrible news.

Well that explains why Tim Horton's stock has been shooting through the roof for the last 2 months.

it shot up a lot in the past few days alone. Burger kings stocks are nothing compared to Tim hortons.
