SHIELD Tablet for 300 or the cheaper EVGA/Gigabyte/Advent/HP Tegra Note 7 for 200

2013 Nexus 7 is a bit lacking in power nowadays and touchscreen apparently has issues. Tegra Note 7 is more worth the money.

I'm not sure your price point, but I would definitely look into the ASUS Google Nexus 7. :)

Galaxy Tab has never been, and likely never will be, a good tablet for the money that you pay compared to other brands

Samsung Tablets have always had problems with software optimization, they just freeze or lag. Get either a tegra note/shield tablet or a nexus, i would also guess the g pads are good and lenovo/asus tablets are not bad.

Main PC:

ASUS F1A55-M LX, AMD A6-3500, (2x2)gb Kingston HyperX Blu DDR3 1600mhz, Seagate Barracuda 500gb 7200rpm,
Corsair CX430M, Cooler Master Elite 343, Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit

Netbook:

Lenovo Ideapad S10-2, Intel Atom N280, (1x1)gb DDR2 667mhz, WD Scorpio Blue 250gb 5400rpm, Zorin OS 9 Lite

Location? Budget? Preferred screen size? Purpose?

The Nexus 7 would be a good choice, but get a Shield Tab if you can/want...

Don't buy anything in the 100USD below price bracket from unknown brands (trust me on this one... I've seen too many people buy something from this price range and regret their purchase...)

Also, I can't recommend Samsung....

Yes and no.

The IU is a bit more fluid, but they are about on par with useless features. It's just the Gpad has the google play ROM that can be flashed on it so it's automatically better <3

Yeah that wins it, I also just googled it and it looks much better aesthetically than the Galaxy tab, I was looking at one in a store (the tab 3 8) and it was actually brown, brown.... I know there's other colours available but still wtf

Yeah the new Galaxy Tab S is a nice device but it's still to heavy with the UI for me.

@beebskadoo The Galaxy Tab S is an amazing device, the screen is beautiful if you ever get a chance to demo one. It was made to rival the iPad Air, I'm sure.

@Admiaczking The Nexus 7 really is an awesome device if you're looking for bang-for-your-buck, however, 'good android tablet' really is relative to what you're looking for, so give us some more information.

Galaxy Note 10.1/8.0

Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1./8.0/7.0

Galaxy Tab S 10.5/8.4

#Samsung

I'll recommend the Galaxy Tab S series, as it features a mind blowing pixel density with an AMOLED screen. The rest of the tabs feature a LCD. All 3 series run on a Exynos 5420, with only the Tab Pro offering 2GB of RAM. The rest of the specifications should be similar.
