I bought a hd 598 and they sound pretty good i might say...

However, since these are a pretty descend pair, do they require an amp or something to really light up? Or does my motherboard provides all the power they need to sound perfectly?

I'm not complaining about how they sound, but if i can get a better sound experience with something extra i would like to know about it :)

also on the side note: if somebody does a noctua themed build, these baby's fit in perfectly :P

They should be absolutely fine through your motherboard, no need for an amp.

Unless you are down to waste money on different colors, the HD598 is the same as a HD558, which is pretty damn close to a HD518.

well... the specifications say something else then that....

& yeah maybe you pay a bit more for mainly looks, but at least they are all quality products & way better then beats for less then the money :P so don't be hating!

Are they exactly the same? No.

Could you tell the difference by ear? Probably not.

Have read about differences in the way they fit, however.

both the hd558 and hd598 are identical, housing, drivers, cable , all , except there s a piece of foam added on the hd558 that you can remove.

there might be some differences between the 2 sets after the mod but i wouldn t ever be able to notice it.

Anything I write is just a comment, take is as such, there is no guarantees associated with anything I say.
