Blu-Ray Player huh!?

I'm not sure if this is the right part of the forum t post this in, but it seems the best fit.

I want to install a blu-ray burner into my PC. For years, I've used my PS3, but want to watch 1080p movies using my really nice PC speakers and subwoofer. I honestly have no idea what is a good blu-ray player and what isn't; I understand that some come with software to play blu-rays, while others don't. Are the more expensive drives that come with software better? Or is that software crap?

What is the best downloadable software to play blu-ray movies?

I also want to rip blu-rays so I can store them onto my HDD and be able to move the files anywhere (so I can play them on my laptop/tablet/phone, none of which have blu-ray drives). What's a good program to rip blu-rays? My internet searches haven't yielded any reliable information.

I've done some basic searching on amazon, and this burner seems pretty good for the price. Do any of you guys have any recommendations? I'm more comfortable in the $50-$70 range.

This seems to be the cheapest deal around: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B008G9V60K/?tag=pcpapi-20

As for bluray, I don't know too much about that.

I was going to buy that, but I don't think it also will be able to rip Blu-rays.

Please tell me what your BR RW is! Most of all the drives I've seen on Amazon and Newegg either DON'T come with blu-ray software or are unclear about it. Apparently some software plays BR better than others, too.

Most of them come with Cyberlink PowerDVD XX

I bought PowerDVD 13 Ultra its good software and supports everything I need. Its expensive enough though when the bundled software will do most of it.

I really like the higher end LG for $100.00. Good quality player and ripper, also comes with software. Also have the portable USB LG player for my Ultrabook. Its around $80 at Best Buy and comes with software.
