MSI Z97-G45 SLI is a very good choice. I would get R9 290 over GTX 770 though.

RIG: I7-4790k @ 4.5GHz | MSI Z97S SLI Plus | 12GB Geil Dragon RAM 1333MHz | Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970 (1550MHz core/7800MHz memory) @ +18mV(Maxed out at 1650/7800 so far) | Corsair RM750 | Samsung 840 EVO 120GB, 1TB Seagate Barracuda | Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 (Closed) | Sound Blaster Z                                                                                                                        Getting: Noctua NH-D15 | Possible 250GB Samsung 850 Evo                                                                                        Need a console killer that actually shits on every console? Here you go (No MIR/Promo)

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

Asus maximus Vii hero

Because that board is sub $100 or close to it.

Thanks but the r9 290 is a bit too expensive for me.

Change the WD Black for a WD Blue.

The R9 280X should be cheaper than the GTX 770 and the performance is very similar.

If you are just gaming then an i5 will be enough. If you are doing rendering/editing etc then stick with the i7.

If you definitely don't want to overclock then you could go for the non 'k' i5/i7 and a H97 board. I don't know how much this saves you though.

Thanks! you seem to know more than me, do you think i could go with a smaller Psu? perhaps a 650W

For one-graphics card configurations a 650W is enough...

If you are thinking about getting a second gtx 770 in the future a 850W would be needable

For a single gpu then a 550W psu would be enough. The Seasonic G 550W below would be a good choice.

For a dual card setup then I would suggest a 750W. The Rosewill Capstone M 750W below would cope fine.

You might as well stick with a Z97 board, as the prices on H97 are pretty similar.

If you swap the WD Black to a WD Blue, and change the gpu to a Gigabyte R9 280X then that should save a few $.
