18 Year old Speakers + Pc.

Right, so I've been pissing around and I managed to find an adapter for my Hifi, using the red and white cables going into a normal Aux ( ? ), I've got it plugged into the headphone jack on the front panel and it seems fine, is this alright or should I plug it directly into the MB?, I'm not an audiophile fyi.

You may get a moderately better SNR if you use a M/M RCA (the red and white) cable, assuming that you are referring to that cable.

Well, the speakers are old, the only outputs and/or said outputs are the black and red cables as you said. I normally use them for the ps3 as I use an old Ps2 cable, not sure if you got the point though, I'm using a splitter for the 2 cables to a normal headphone jack, is it fine to use it this way?

I'm assuming that you don't have RCA out ports on your motherboard (many don't). Use the "front speaker" port at the rear, which should be a lime green color

Yea I was going to use the back, I tested it on the front first and it seemed fine, might have to move the speakers as the cable isn't exactly long. Also the MB I have is in my signature so yea.. No chance of "Rca" Ports on that.

A Y-adapter (RCA to 3.5mm) ?  Sure, why not.  I do it all the time.

"Pardon my French but this is just about the most ignorant blanket statement I've ever read. And though this is the internet, I'm not even exaggerating."
