Movie organizing

Does anyone know decent movie organizing software which allows me to make categories and add the movies to 'em?

What filetypes does XBMC support? Can't seem to import my movies

You could take a look at Plex. It's designed as a media server, but it can work pretty well as a local media player.

MP4 and MKV, but it doesn't seem to show any movies when I try to add some to the category

I'll take a look
