Some money came my way and after putting some of it aside in savings, I have around $2300 USD budget (pre tax/shipping) and i started to put together a PC. It mostly is going to be used for gaming as well as 3d modeling on programs such as Solidworks and Catia (School work). I will most likely be gaming on a 1080p monitor until i get around to buying a 1440p monitor, Im trying to decide between these two builds.

Specs: 4790k | Asus Z-97 Pro Wifi | MX100 512GB SSD | NZXT H440 Plastidipped Black | Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler | MSI 290x Lightning | EVGA 850 G2 | 3x Noctua Industrial NF-F12's

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

Corsair is overrated, and Anime is ruined by the people who watch it

For 1080p gaming, a GTX 770 is more than enough. I would get more storage instead of 2 R9 290X's or a 780 Ti.
