What's RAID?

I've heard the term a lot in SSD's in Linus' videos, but I never really knew what it meant. I know it has something to do with linking together SSD's?

Also, what are the differences between raid 0 or 1 or 5 or whatever exists? Just curious.

Thanks!

It's linking together storage drives to improve performance, or improve redundancy, or both. I don't know what they all do, so I found this article for you.

Yep pretty much EXACTLY what the TechQuikie video states and is of course for as well as what Godlygamer said.

It pretty much combines drives together to improve performance but mainly to create a safer system in case anything goes wrong.

Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy?
