Well Slick mentioned you might be doing a very long CES sum up live stream. Would it be possible if you could make this at a time when people from Europe could actually watch?

I guess most Europeans will agree with me that when your livestream starts at 9pm its actually 5am in the GMT timezone.

I really would not want to miss this livestream. Would it be possible for you to shuffle the time forwards or back so it starts at I time that doesn't feel like I'm getting up in the middle of the night to watch it. I am saying this in first person but this is for most Europeans.

Even if it was just for this live stream could you shift it forward by 1-2 hours or back by 4-5 hours. It would make watching it much easier. (Preferably move it forwards as I that will be the best time for everyone).

Thanks!

If they shifted it back 4-5 hours they would still be at work. Im guessing the reason why they do the live stream at 9 there time is that it is the most covenant time for them both. You also have to remember that Linus has a wife and child and has to devote his time to them first. You could always watch it on youtube the next day.

great, it first was 5 am for me, now 1 am and its propably a stream for 3 hours. so i'm still up to 4am :P

you cant please the whole world, but the europeans are a significant group of viewers. maybe just this one time? :P maybe if they are delaying it 2 hours, i can watch it with breakfast.

I know they want to include everyone but i think they will keep the live stream times so they are more convenient for them and the North American time zones.

Shifting it forward 1 hour is convenient for all time zones. We in GMT can wake up at 6am which is an alright time. No-one is behind us for a considerable amount of time so no-one will have to wake up in the middle of the night. For you Americans/Canadians, surely an hour later isn't the end of the world. In fact it will probably even be better for the people who end work late.

I live in Toronto, it starts at midnight here. An hour later wouldn't be great. It would start at 1Am and end at like 3.

Obviously they cant accommodate everyone's time zones. That's what we have the Archives for, so we can watch it later...

Every one wants to watch Linus LIVE.. We in Europe want to fever with you American/Canadian's.. and the "there is a archive"... we could also say that to you so dont get on us with that answer :D

Cmon Linus and Slick.. just give us 1 hour more of sleep (or start it one hour earlier.. would be fine too.. cuz i would stay up all time then)

By that logic, surely an hour early (i.e. the regular time) isn't the end of the world. It would suck for east coast to have it an hour later.

why would it suck? do the east coast have to wake up at 4/5am to watch? no.. so its not as dramatic

EDIT: i should mention that we wake up at 4/5am on saturday.. not on friday

Its much harder to wake up than to stay up all night. Staying up till 4am then sleeping till 11 is easy, however, going to bed early and then waking up at 4:45 is a huge pain.

Vancouver is 8 hours behind GMT. Moving it back 1 hour is not going to change a whole deal as it will just cause more problems for them. You have to factor in the setting up time, time to eat ( remember all the times Linus and Slick have been eating because they had to rush). Putting it forward 1 hour is just alot more hassle for most people as that would be 10PM Vancouver time, lets say the average running time is about 1 hour 30 mins, that means they will finish at 11:30PM which doesn't really seem fair to either Slick or Linus after a day's work. I am in the UK, and i either stay up and watch, or watch the archive in the morning, doesn't bother me in the slightest. Besides, you're never going to please everyone, so it's best to keep it as it is.

But you can please more people. 11:30 isn't late! This way they WILL have time to eat and prepare.

Pushing it forwards ANY amount of time is better because we have more sleep.

" I am in the UK, and i either stay up and watch"

I very very doubt you stay up till 6:30am.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that we miss Q & A and competitions if we watch archives. :/

Considering their shows are done on a Friday, if they've been up early; 11:30PM is late. I get up at 6:20 every day, by 11:30 i am knackered and just want to sleep, but each to their own :). Whenever i can't sleep, i will stay up for ages, i don't base my schedule around the live shows, but if i'm awake and they're starting within the next 30 mins for example, i would generally stay up to watch. If not, i will go to sleep and watch in the morning.

Have to agree with Dave. I am on GMT + 2h and I don't moan because I cant watch the shows Live. Linus takes the time out of his day to live stream for his fans and answer a whole lot of questions for free. Its not like you are missing anything by watching the archive instead of watching it live. Linus answers youtube PMs as well as emails. So if you have a question PM him and he will probably respond. If you want to be there for the competition then put in some effort and set yourself an alarm.

That still means you woke up on Friday at 6:20. A time you claim makes you tired at 11:30. How you manage to stay up till 6:30? 7 hours later.

(At this point I'm just being picky for fun, feel free to ignore me.)

GMT +2 and you don't get up for the stream. Damn you're lazy. That's 7am. That's a normal time to wake up.

The troll is strong with this one...

Ghost no offense but I just think you are going to have to deal with the way it is, I really don't see them changing it, it's just to much hassle for them. You really do have to understand both of them have alot going on in there life's we all should just be thankful and happy that they have time for us. They are very nice people and try there hardest to please everyone in there lives
