So basicly I am building a pc (duh) and I will do programmig and 3d modeling for a game. Is it qorth it to get an i7 instead of an i5 ?

In your case, yes. 

CPU: i7 - 2600k. GPU: GTX 1070. Mobo: intel something. RAM: Corsair XMS3 @1600Mhz (8GB). SSD: Crucial MX100 256GB. HDD: WD Green 1TB . Case: Cooler Master HAF XB EVO Monitors: LG 25UM65-P and Benq 2200HD Keyboard: Corsair vengeance K70 FPS Red switch. Mouse: Logitech G502 Proteus Core. Headset: Steelseries Siberia V2

Yup. You might want an i7.

 

In your case, I think yes because you're gonna need the extra cores and hyperthreading for the 3d modelling.

Unless you go to a 4930k/4960x, there are no extra cores, just Hyper-Threading.

Depends on which i5 and i7 your talking about but usually yes it is worth getting an i7

Im choosing between i5 4690k and i7 4790k

that GPU bro get the R9 290 it's the same price but much better performance...

OP might benefit from Cuda. Maybe a Xeon and GTX 780 (Ti) instead?
