I'm looking for a case for my new build and I'd like to get some of your suggestions from you guys.

Here is what I'd like it to have:

  1. Fit an ATX motherboard
  2. Fit an H100i radiator
  3. Several easy to access and easy to clean dust filters
  4. Have a simple and minimalistic appearance
  5. A window would be nice

If you get easily offended by people on the Internet there is something really wrong with you. You focus on the opinions of a few people instead of worrying about why you have a terrible taste in video games.

Corsair 300R fits the bill aside from the window (windowed version of it is not very pretty). If I recall correctly the Fractal Define R4 fits all of those criteria.

RIG: I7-4790k @ 4.5GHz | MSI Z97S SLI Plus | 12GB Geil Dragon RAM 1333MHz | Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970 (1550MHz core/7800MHz memory) @ +18mV(Maxed out at 1650/7800 so far) | Corsair RM750 | Samsung 840 EVO 120GB, 1TB Seagate Barracuda | Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 (Closed) | Sound Blaster Z                                                                                                                        Getting: Noctua NH-D15 | Possible 250GB Samsung 850 Evo                                                                                        Need a console killer that actually shits on every console? Here you go (No MIR/Promo)

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

Arc midi r2, 450D, enthoo pro, define r4, and technically the silverstone ft05, but you would probably have to remove the bottom 180mm fans, or rest it on top of them, which won't look all too good. you'd be better suited to an air cooler, or a 120mm AIO, which I do not support if you are overclocking.

I think these cases mentioned are pretty good. But I want to add some stuff that you should consider when buying a case. When I get a case, I make sure it has these things. So just keep these in mind too when shopping.

Front intake vents for a fan

A side vent for a fan.

A bottom mounted PSU area (because this helps make the unit more bottom heavy so it's less likely to tip over if you knock into it, but it alone won't make it more bottom heavy, it just helps)

but this is not that big of a deal, it's just something I like personally.

A right removable panel for cable management

A cutout in the motherboard panel (whatever they're called) for easy CPU backplate installation.

The vast majority of gamer class cases have this, but some budget cases don't and it's better to spend the money on a case that has this than to cut corners for a budget if you have a budget to work with. Your case and PSU should be a top priority. Everything else can be budgeted. But working with a pain in the ass case because you didn't spend the money is no fun.

As for air filters. You can buy them on your own. You only want air filters on intake fans and you want more intake fans than exhaust fans. This keeps dust from being sucked in through every crevice in the case. The more air you have flowing in, the more it wants to push out of the crevices, thus pushing dust out.

This is an Amazon search for dust filters.

They're not that hard to install. So don't worry if you buy a case without dust filters (even though a good one should have a front intake fan with a dust filter) but if it doesn't just use one of these.

I get 60 frames at 1080p on a dual core APU. Ask me how.

AMD FX 8350 CPU / R9 280X GPU / Asus M5A97 LE R 2.0 motherboard / 8GB Kingston HyperX Blue 1600 RAM / 128G OCZ Vertex 4 SSD / 256G Crucial SSD / 2T WD Black HDD / 1T Seagate Barracude HDD / Antec Earthwatts 650W PSU / Coolermaster HAF 922 Case
