Bit of a problem here...

Go to solution Solved by Norman_the_Owl,

always make sure you have the drivers. B)

That's the thing, literally the first thing i did was download the "Lan drivers" off asus' drivers page for my motherboard.

Anyone know JJ's email so i can send him a strongly worded letter? :P

Edit: Problem solved btw, intel download center is the only good download center i've ever seen

i recently assembled my computer, with the Asus Z-97 pro Wifi AC motherboard. Since then we purchased a new router, dual band, ac. BUT, even though i have my desktop wired with an ethernet cable, it still defaults to the Wifi signal. Is there any reason for this, and how do i fix it? Will be watching the thread for a while, if i left something important out ask.

Edit: using windows 8.1

Specs: 4790k | Asus Z-97 Pro Wifi | MX100 512GB SSD | NZXT H440 Plastidipped Black | Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler | MSI 290x Lightning | EVGA 850 G2 | 3x Noctua Industrial NF-F12's

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

Corsair is overrated, and Anime is ruined by the people who watch it

Go to Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network Connections

Find the wireless signal and click "Disable this network device"

All that did was lock me out of it

Hmm, Well you could try rightclicking the wireless icon, going to network and sharing center, click the wireless connection, then click disable.

After a bit more looking into it it appears i don't even have the correct drivers for my ethernet.

Get it together asus, and give me the correct downloads next time...
