What is with our obsession with thinness? At some point structural integrity needs to be considered. This can't be durable by any stretch... I see a surface pro 4 coming, hopefully with a good kickstand and a full SD Slot.

I want a phat ass tablet with an ungodly battery. Or a really thin tablet with an ungodly battery.

Basically i just want battery tech to actually move forward.

Bigger screen/thinner < battery life

I think 12" screen is the minimum for working on spreadsheets/big documents/code on a tablet. I just can't fit my hands onto keyboards which are the same length as a 10" screen. I have fat fingers.

You talk like iPads are flimsy.

You can make devices that thin and wide and still be solid.

This is now the only thing holding me back from getting something like the Surface Pro 3 (or anything smaller, not that I would go smaller).  I need to be able to type at my usual 75-100WPM for extended periods of time.  I'm sure with practice I would adapt to a much, much smaller keyboard.  That is usually the case with learning peripherals.  But boy are those keys spaced close together.  So very many typos when I typed my first couple pages on the thing.  It's an expensive plunge to take.

Also: Llama Mountain, maybe this tablet is designed with me in mind.

I don't understand why companies want to make their devices so much thinner. When they do that they force people to carry around battery packs and chargers, which only adds to the weight and bulk. Last time I checked having a phones that is an extra 3-5mm thicker is a lot thinner than carrying around a wall wart in your pocket.

I broke an Ipad 2 clean in half dropping it only 3 feet.

Maybe I'm imagining it wrong, but that sounds physically impossible unless it dropped from 3 feet onto a table saw,
