Need help determining a Motherboard

Go to solution Solved by dragoon20005,

use this program

https://www.piriform.com/speccy/download

it will show you the mobo spec

that is a Sandy Bridge CPU so it likely to be a 1155

I have a Dell Insparion 3000 Desktop Series, I was looking to upgrade it, but I'm confused about what kind of Motherboard it has inside (I'm new to computer upgrading and building).

Below are some specs of the Computer:

CPU: Core i5-2320

CPU Cooler: Idk (Probably Intel)

Motherboard: Dell Inc0XR1GT (CPU 1)

Memory: 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz (9-9-9-24)

Storage: 931GB Western Digital WDC WD10EALX-759BA1 ATA Device(Looking to get a 128GB SSD Just to store windows OS Files)

Video Card: Intel Integrated HD Graphics (Looking into getting A GPU)

I'm sorry If this is In the wrong category or labeled wrong (I'm new here).

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Could someone recommend a GPU That's better Than the Integrated Intel HD Graphics?

are you able to see what PSU wattage you got?

I may suggest the GTX750Ti if your PSU has very low wattage

use the above program to find out the mobo name and spec

Price range?

Also another way that may work for finding out the form factor of the motherboard is to use the width and height of it.

found it

http://www.findlaptopdriver.com/dell-inc-0xr1gt-a00-motherboard-specifications-12257041t83/

its a B75 chipset

and yes you can fit a GTX750Ti

now to find the PSU wattage

if you can open up the casing

you should be able to see the PSU sticker and wattage

I'd suggest a gtx 770 if it will fit and your psu can support it.

very unlikely it can be that high

they usual install cheap OEM PSU that only output like 350 watts

if you can access your PC

just unscrew the locks and open up the side panel

GTX750 will work fine too

that mobo will require you to change the CPU as well

look for another LGA1155 mATX mobo
