Black electrical tape round colour wires?

Jason Kimmings

I know its a ghetto fix but has anyone done it before? Also do you rekon it would work good? I can't put the plug in the wrong way and it gets rid of horrible multicoloured wires everywhere

Win win, right?

I've done it for every single front I/O wire so far. Don't see why it wouldn't work

it will work fine, however in a PC case, it gets quite warm so the tape will begin to soften and will be a bit sticky on the outside

If I ever send my PSU back for warranty will the sticky stuff effect it in any way? Because its been 'modified'

most likely not. like 95% no,

but I can't guarantee anything.

Let's just say that if a company where to deny you warranty because of some electrical tape, I would never buy from them again.

No also there's chemicals like "Goo be gone" that remove adhesive you can probably get at a dollar store for a dollar and even if you dont I don't think they'd really think anything of it....

I've made some ghetto repairs with painter's tape... so yes, electrical tape would work. Before anyone criticizes my decision, painters tape is still holding up with no issues after 3 years ;)
