i want to build a pc for my parents because theyve had their computer since i was 4 so its stupid slow. its not really for gaming but id like it to be able to play minecraft reasonably. (perfect frames at normal render distance) i just threw this together so its probably terrible because i have no idea what im doing but it hopefully can give you an idea of what i want. id rather keep it on the cheap side so around or under $1000 would be ideal. a lot of people will be using it so tons of storage is a must. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/davidharris941/saved/zvZ9TW

that's a pretty good build!, however a 4gb GTX 760 isn't going to offer much in terms of performance gains below 1440p.

also, that PSU is insanely expensive, you can get something for $100 cheaper.

that Motherboard is also unable to overclock your CPU, so you can go with a locked CPU or a Z77 motherboard

i'll edit it and change a few things which I think would help with costs

INTEL CORE I5 4670K | NVIDIA GTX 980 | NOCTUA NH-L9i | GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-SLI | KINGSTON 120GB V300

CM STORM QUICKFIRE TK | BENQ XL2420TE | ROCCAT SAVU | FRACTAL DEFINE R4

You need a Z77 motherboard to overclock that 3570K.

Save on the SSD and get a 840 EVO instead of the pro.

Good cheaper PSU: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-power-supply-rs650amaag1

Your savings can go towards a better GPU, GTX 770/780 or R9 280X/290.

You might want to have a look at getting a Z97 board + an i5 4690K as the prices are relatively the same. Non-K CPU with a H97 board if you don't plan on OC'ing.

It is pretty nice though for the CPU and board price I think I'd look into H97/Z97 and a Core i5-4670K

Looks good. Prob get some cheaper ram and a non k series, and a gtx 750ti to save some money.

Also throw out that PSU and get something such as the corsair cx 500w, that one you have chosen is over $100 more than the corsair is.
