post-26373-0-20665400-1407863714_thumb.j

post-26373-0-19615200-1407863797_thumb.j

Erm... what if it gets too hot and burns down?

Unlikely, but the wood is a weird conductor and because you're not able to ground the thing it can be dangerous in that sence. A inner metal shell would have made it much safer.

"Have you tried turning it off and on again?"

Erm... what if it gets too hot and burns down?

impossible. Tree does not go on fire from 130 Celcius. if the PSu blows up or something it is a other thing, But it willnot burn up from high temps.

Ive already seen other tree cases and they work fine:D

Other people have made wooden cases and they have worked fine. Hell, even desks out of wood with the computer case being the desk, and it's fine.

this build is really cool, I'll follow the progress of that. I am planning on a custom box to, but with metal. we actually have the tools to bend it and make a box of 1 big piece of metal ^^. And for the fire thing if you don't go pass 200Celsius it will not catch in fire and 200Celsius is impossible cause the cpu will shutdown before reaching that temp

I have a wooden pc and agree with that statement. Although I think the flash point of wood is actually even higher than that.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

They're in my build log.

http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/162200-stealthray-10-a-silent-build-in-a-custom-case/

I used a laser cutter to make the parts so having very precise and detailed stuff was possible, as I had that machine available to me at the time. It's nice of my university to just let its students use these for projects like this. Spec-wise it's not too different either. It too is an AMD quad core, just an APU instead of a CPU. Might add a graphics card and an SSD later though, if I feel like it.

Relax mate, your build is coming along nicely too. As long as the styling is somewhat minimalistic but not plain, you'll have a great looking case.
