Hello everyone!

So I am debating getting a 144Hz display for a hand full of games.  I currently have a 27 inch IPS 1440P display which is great for real estate and makes games look amazing, but several games I play I can push more FPS but limited to 60 FPS.  My questions is as follows:

1.) Can a single 290x push most games close to 144 FPS?  I know Crysis 3 barely runs at 60 fps @ 1080p for me.

2.) Does getting a 24 inch really mess with the eyes when the other display is larger (27 inch)

Thanks!

Why not sell your 1440p display and get a 27" 1440p 144hz display :)

but 1) It will push some games at 1080 144hz but there will be exceptions like Crysis, Watchdogs, Metro etc

2) no, but now I am used to 1440p 27" I would not want to go back

I plan on getting the Asus 1440p 144hz monitor for gaming and keep my IPS for editing work

1. That's weird because I push 90FPS on Crysis 1080p maxed out 16xAA

I think you're wrong.
