Cause its a old case? Its got a 220mm top fan. It wasn't uncommon back in the day to see 1 huge nonstandard fan instead of a bunch of 120mm's or something. Also 140mm really wasn't a standard yet.

The new PSU is sitting beside me, on Sunday final cleaning will commence and the PC will be free from the filth.

This one time my nannie told me her pc was struggling to run, I cracked it open and there was rat turd up to about a quarter of the way up in the case. So grotty
