Modding in a new window for phantom 410 (Noob to mods)

Watched the vid. very informative and I'm pretty sure somewhere packed I have a dremel, but I don't have the bigger saws. I have several hardware shops near me so I could get some acrylic and tape their.

you can even pickup a cheap jigsaw and 20+ tooth per inch blades.

Pretty much what the title says I would like to put a new window into my phantom 410. Now the thing is I'm not 100% what all I need, tools, step by step kind of things.

I want to do this since

A- Hate the look of the mesh on the side panel

B- May have cracked current window with industrial grade aerosol

C- Eventually get a watercooling loop and want to see it all

It will be a little time until I can get all the money for it since I just got a 1440p monitor and prepping for summer steam sales. I figure not much will have changed and I will know how much money I will need for the window. My sort of inspiration is this http://www.overclock3d.net/gfx/articles/2012/08/05064417875l.JPG

Well you can get acrylic cut to shape and size and most people just literally use a sort of adhesive (double sided tape -strong stuff though) to stick the side panel and window together. Using bolts takes much more effort.

Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy?

i did a custom window (when FD didn't have a window option) one on my Midi.

10mins to mask the side panel in painter's tape

15mins measuring and drawing outline on tape

25mins actual jigsaw time

60mins file and radius finishing

2mins to touch-up edges with SEMS Black Trim Paint (spray)

2mins to cut acrylic to size

10min applied double-sided tape (3M 4010)

1min applied acrylic to side-panel

DONE!

with eVGA P67 SLI and CNoctua NH-D14 installed

installed ASUS MIVE-Z and Corsair H100, push/pull

allows no view of PSU and ODD bays straight from the side..

see that's the thing, you get to do it your way and not be stuck

on any one theme or effect.

if I 86 the ODD bays I can re-cut the panel and open the view

even more..
