how to prevent ddos attack

while my brother is playing CoD on his xbox. he gets ddos'ed which also makes me unable to use my computer. how do i prevent this?

Try prevent DOS attacks on your router, and then try get a firewall like a standalone firewall and that should do it.  

 

BTW, this is why I never play COD.  Or Xbox in general, there are some real assholes and nasty people on there, the worst part is most of them don't even know how to DDOS, they just use tools.

I'd probably go with getting a VPN, a firewall or telling your brother to stop being a jackass.

1) How do you know you are getting DDOSed? I highly doubt you are.

2) Restart you router or refresh your IP

3) Enable ping request blocking on your router settings
