So I am currently running windows 7 and  want to try something new. Ive been thinking about dual booting OS X but dont have another drive to do it on. Anyways, do games work fine with windows 8? Are there a lot of bugs and performance issues with it? Should I wait until windows 9?

I love windows 8. I never use those retarded squares and it is snappier and quicker than 7.

Download classic start and boot straight to desktop. Basically a faster windows 7 at that point.

I have 7 and have used 8 extensively, I see no reason to switch. But if you really want to then it will be faster than 7 and you can grab a start bar like classic start.

I use 8.1.

It's stable, all my hardware works, drivers work fine, old games work fine. A bit tweaking to do if you want to get it to feel like w7, like start8/startisback/classicshell and setting up the apps so they don't use the modern UI.

It's great. But keep in mind that Windows 9 is coming soon.

If you can have Windows 8 for free, or low cost, and you are getting it with an open mind, and as you want to have fun learning it, giving it a chance, and discovering it, then its great.

Be sure your Windows 8 is fully upgraded first with 8.1 Update 1, so that you have the best experience.

I updated to Windows 8.1 nearly 4 months ago. Didn't regret it at all.

Do not pass go, do not collect OSX. Get Windows 8.1 from G2A.com, you can get Windows 8.1 Professional Keys for about $15 USD, extremely cheap and have better performance than Windows 7.
